HOW MANY QUESTIONS SHOULD ONE SOLVE BEFORE ATTENDING THE PRELIMS?

The UPSC prelims exam is so perplexing on its own that it has started to stand in the way of someone passing this exam. Have you ever given it a reason? The fundamental reason for this is that there is no room for error in this exam; you can only be absolutely correct or completely wrong. As a result, you are forced into a scenario where you must succeed otherwise there is no further alternative.

In order to adequately prepare for the Prelims exam, some tasks must be attended to as a result of such complexity. For instance, if we consider how important it is to start taking mock tests during the entire Prelims exam preparation process, it is crucial to do so without keeping track of how many you take, i.e., without putting a bar on your ability. Just solve as many as you can because the prelims exam success percentage also greatly hinges on this.

I was able to grasp this concept better when I began studying for the Prelims exam at EDEN IAS, which is the best coaching institute for IAS and where I was admitted to their MISSION PRELIMS program. I have answered many sectional mock tests, and in addition to that, many comprehensive tests have also been offered to us, kicking off our preparation to a next level. After each session, when a certain topic was finished, we were tasked to complete the exercises based on that topic.

While I was here, I was forced to learn more than just the answers to the questions; I was also taught how to approach each topic and what strategies to employ, such as whether guesswork and the elimination process are appropriate in this particular situation or not. Therefore, all of this advice was incredibly helpful to me in all of these difficult portions of my preparation, where I wasn't just focusing on how many questions I was able to answer but also learning the strategies to do so.
